Dear friends,
It may seem unusual to start the Festival with a short prologue but in life sometimes emotions are stronger than thoughts. I felt the need to remember a person no longer with us but who is, as always, constantly in our hearts.
Nick Ketteringham, our artistic director and great friend, one of the best authors of multivision, passed away almost two years ago at the end of the last edition of Fantadia. It's pointless to say how much suffering this has caused to the world of multivision, his passing leaving an unfillable void.
Nick was known for his professionalism and thoughfulness but mainly for his generosity. Fantdia owes much to him.
Thanks to Nick's capacity to connect, involve and unify he established a small group of authors from all around the world, from various cultures and environments, creating opportunities to share our great passion. These opportunities were grasped by the authors who, having known each other for a long time and sharing a unique regard for Fantadia, have established a very strong bond.
Thanks to Nick's influence the family of Fantadia was born in which fellowship grows, projects are shared and the core values in our friendship are expressed.
This was Nick, a man devoted to others, happy to see others being happy. He would liked to have seen the world he helped create being strong and united, all of us walking together in friendship.
Thanks Nick, this festival is dedicated to you with the promise to continue on in the way that you taught us.
Ciao amico ciao.
